PS Charity Wing Foundation (PSCWF), an initiative of Pune Social Group (PSG), successfully organised a Charity Cricket League to raise funds for its ongoing charitable activities. The PSCWF–PSG Cricket League, presented by VSGL, was held on Sunday, 18th January, at Turf Up, Wanwadi, Pune.
The event was graced by Ex-Mayor and Sitting Corporator Mr. Prashant Dada Jagtap as the Chief Guest. As part of the foundation’s social commitment, children from Salvation Army Hope House were specially invited to participate in a friendly cricket match. During the event, Corporator Prashant Jagtap distributed sports equipment donated by PS Charity Wing Foundation members to the children, encouraging them to pursue sports and active lifestyles.
Through this cricket league, PS Charity Wing Foundation also donated one month’s food provisions to the children of Salvation Army Hope House, reinforcing its commitment to supporting underprivileged children through meaningful and sustainable initiatives.
A total of 72 players, divided into 8 teams, participated in the league. The event witnessed enthusiastic support, with over 300 members and spectators present at the venue, making it a vibrant and energetic gathering.
The cricket league was organised under the leadership of Ms. Ria Chauhan, Chairperson, PS Charity Wing Foundation, along with Mr. Swaroop Roy, Director, and Mr. Niral Desai, Member.
Speaking on the occasion, Ria Chauhan stated that PS Charity Wing Foundation regularly undertakes charitable initiatives with the active support of its members. By combining sports, entertainment, and community engagement, the foundation aims to make charity more inclusive, impactful, and sustainable.
The PSCWF–PSG Cricket League stands as a successful example of how sports can be used as a powerful medium to support social causes and bring the community together for meaningful change.
