Pune:-
High Energy Materials Research Laboratory, Pune based DRDO laboratory in association with Tomsk State University & Federal Research & Production Centre, Russia organzed XVIII International Workshop on High Energy and Special Materials at Dr APJ Abdul Kalam DRDO Golden Jubilee Auditorium, Pashan, Pune.
The International Workshop on High Energy and Special Materials (HEMs-2023) was inaugurated by Dr Samir V Kamat, Secretary Department of Defence R&D & Chairman DRDO in the presence of Dr (Mrs) Chandrika Kaushik OS & DG PCI, Dr. Boris Pevchenko, DG, JSC, FR&PC Russia and Dr AP Dash ,OS and Director HEMRL. The conference comprised of invited lectures by eminent personalities from Germany, Russia , DRDO (India) and indian industries. It was attended by student community, industry and other research organisations from all over the country and abroad.
Dr Samir V Kamat, Secretary Department of Defence R&D & Chairman DRDO emphasized the need to identify the future technology and to evolve the road map for futuristic development in High energy and Special Materials. He asked to deliberate the august gathering for design and realization of project for future technologies. Chairman focused the need of collaborative research work with participation of private industry , academia , foreign partners and DRDO
Dr. Boris Pevchenko, DG, JSC, FR&PC Russia asked that this conference platform should be used for exploration of cutting-edge technologies, the deliberations on innovative aspects of HEMs and the initiatives for collaborative developments .
Dr AP Dash ,OS and Director HEMRL. called on the august gathering ,young scientists, academia and industry partners to take interest in pursuit of defence related technologies/research and wished that conference will help to prepare the roadmap in line of workshop theme ‘Emerging Trends in High Energy and Special Materials’.
The conference imparted rich experience to students, researchers and industry partners on recent trends in High Explosive Technologies and it ignited interest in young minds in the area of defence technologies.
