As we  aware, at the initiative of  Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the United Nations General Assembly took a historic decision in 2014 to declare 21st June as the International Day of Yoga (IDY). This world wide acceptance of Yoga is a matter of pride for our country, as Yoga is an integral part of our cultural and spiritual heritage. Yoga is an ancient science of wisdom for living a healthy life and by adopting it in daily life, one can make life easy and simple. It works efficiently on all the aspects related to human life viz. mental, emotional, spiritual and physical planes of being. Yoga means pairing on a spiritual level this union means the union of the individual consciousness with the universal consciousness.

On the directions of the Ministry of Ayush, this year, on the 06th April, is the 76th day countdown to the International Day of Yoga. On this day Mass Yoga Demonstration is organised at Nisarg Gram, Yewalewadi in association with Central Bureau of Communication, Maharashtra and Goa region, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. The programme will start at 07.00 am with Mass Yoga demonstration as per the Standard Protocol of Ayush Ministry, Govt. of India. 

This year being a Millet year, NIN is offering a free Millet breakfast to all the participants. This programme is open to all and free of cost. All age group people can join and rejoice the celebrations. Celebrate this 76th Countdown day to IDY on 06th April, 2023 with your family and friends in a Mass Yoga Demonstration at Nisarg-Gram, behind Bandorwala Leprosy Centre, Yewalewadi, Pune.
